Mani Rathnam is one of the great directors India ever had.

I still consider roja was a turning point in indian cinema.It had a great story and was technicaly strong.

He is the only director who has the 'Dil Se' to touch on story's others would dare touch.

@iceyez
Good one. I liked Dil Se the best. Not for Mani, but for Shah Rukh.

Mani could do a lot more technically rather emotionally, and he ends up with family subjects most of the time.

But an "Indian Spielberg" ??
You're in a "Lost World". Ha Ha .

@Rashmi,

Merci for tht ;-)!

@Anck su Namun,

Any director at some point of time need to play around a bit with human emotions for the film to sell in India ! hez no exception ! ;-)

and for "Indian Spielberg" ;) - he always belongs to the elite club of Indian film makers...
