Heal..

It was a an unusual sunday evening last weekend.
Unusual. Yes. Coz chennai is giving suprises with a super-kewl climate for the past one week.

I was stuck in the sea-ward avenue with a flat-tyre(not mine, my bike's).
Then saw this scene on the road quite adjacent to the sea. It was almost the moon taking over from sunset with the sky getting shady.

And a couple showing their love to each other. So Isn't it blasphemous - Love on the road ?? Really ? I just stopped for a while. Whats even wrong ?

A caring husband holding his pregnant wife's hand and both of them going on a stroll.
SHE, slowly resting her head on HIS shoulders. And uttering a few words. HE, doing some gimmicks to make her laugh.

And I stood there watching the couple cross the end of the road.
Someone somewhere is healing the world. The world isnt that mad still ;).
Then looked at the sky above. whoz gonna fix the tyre ?

Sanity - Lost

Alright, it was a pleasant sunday afternoon, and my usual afternoon nap was not taking over me - mebbe my mom didnt cook that well (evalo naal aanalum nakkal matum korayadhu da), am still awake to pen this one !

We, meaning, our own gang of pals had an altogether differnt experience yesterday.
An after effect of me, missing two highway trips last week, as my engine was down with Chennai - Fever(ever wondered what chennai fever is - it is a symptom of high body temperature if one is overloaded with 12+ hours of daily IT work life without adeuquate time to even resort to bird watching in the concrete jungles accompanied by a draught situation which doesnt let one beat the heat with the weekly beers..added with a twinge of spending more to the Junk food everyday which is >= the weekly pocket money my dad gave couple of years back (Phew !)

I somehow got up with a rare kinda energy level, as I was expected to give a presentation to my business people, on friday evening. If at all I bunked this, no one is going to die, just my next hike would go for a heavy toss which would be even more side-splitting than Indias debacle in the world cup, and my chances of getting married before 28 would go bleak (yeah ! am a typical software engnineer who wants to go abroad, get a flat within the city and couple of acres outskirts and marry a fair, slim, good looking gal - though I know the chances of all these are remote , even more than an Ajith film running for more than 100 days (*grin*)

Still I gotta keep going. I was hitting the key board all along last week thinkin when the hell is friday going to come. Just when I was about to pull the shutter on friday, came a mail from my french counterpart in business, stating that he has finished a job in a minutes time for which I had no answer for 3 weeks. (alright ! I would recommend him for the next padmabhsuhan).

Started to think where my life is leading to ? 12+ hours of work everyday, verbal abuses from unknown people which I was supposed to take with a smile, junk food taking over the diets of corproate work force, and riding through the chennai cathepara junction challenging me more than anything with people just not crossing the road but jumping from barricades and still stare at me for forgetting to kick the break after seeing them cross the road.. ! (haiyo !)

what the hell man ! gimme a life ... My lead asked me, what are you doing for the weekend... I just gave a smile and walked off... I got these tips from my bangalore colleague to answer in wierd ways to project managers.

Couple of samples...
What are you doin for the weekend ? :-D
What time are you comin tomorrow ? Suspense

So called up my gang of pals, and asked them to get to home as early as 4 am on saturday morning. When I woke up @ 4 am, my dad was shocked, as the last time i woke up so early was during my geography exam in 10th standard. He asked me "anything wrong ?". I told "No, am just going for a highway ride". The gang gathered, and we zoomed across NH45 before the sun could catch up. And we reached a temple town called Madhuranthakam. More of the trip can be read @ Godo's Launge !

Would try to pen more to substantiate - Sanity regained :D

A toast across the coast !

Alright, am one of those, who still keeps thinking
Chennai is the best place to make a living and enjoy it too !
(Come on they are nt sending me onsite, and I have to convince myself someway ;)

It was celebration time in my project team n guyz thought of hanging out ..
for a day in the most sought after outing spot in chennai - Mahabz ...

My NRI pal asked me recently, dont u guyz hang out anywhere else apart from ECR ?
(if we are gonna hang out for a long drive in any other road, who the hell is gonna sponsor bike service, hospitalization expenses, cost of 2 dunlop tyres, and not forgetting two new chennai acronyms learnt in every street...)

We guyz started zooming in our bikes...
FYI, Mahabz is 60 Kms from chennai, and till 30 Kms , we have a barricade every 1 km, and a couple crossing in another bike leading to un necessary disturbances in the sane saintly mind every half a km...
(ok cool down cool down ..)

Atlast me n my pal crossed the Toll gate...
n thank God ! no more barricades from now on...
I started throttling more... and the bike was quite stable to cross 100 Kms/ hr..
almost took lead of all other guyz , who never crossed an optimum speed (Come on they all are married gentlemen ...;)

and suddenly a brand new honda city zoomed past me, it was my lead, Gaptain Vijay...
My hand started getting tempted ... to race... to chase...
and a full throttle..
more...more..
even more...
the bike isnt crossing 110 km/hr...
come on man ! ?? its 155 Cc...

and yeah I got the point... my pal in the pillion reminded me...of last day's happenings..
I had been there..
the holy place..
the Mess of Andhra...near our office..
the only place, where a mid day lunch would shoot up your body weight by 4kgs !!
and I started sympathising my bike, it has a big heart, I meant an engine, to carry two heavy weight champions...

we were nt ready to leave Gaptain to win...
we tried cutting the wind, bending before, what not ...no dash worked...
Finally, there was a mild traffic jam, and we thought of takin the lead...
and gave a suddent pick up...overtook thro' the left...and was almost about to raise my hands...
in a jubliant mood, and then I saw a check post approaching in 10 metres distance...

ok, Ice, thought thats the end ...
(well am an IT professional, cant afford to use local slangs like Sangu ! (*evil grin*))

sudden flashes in my mind...
I had never been onSite ..
I had never seen onSight ..
(Sangu oodhara timela kavidha romba mukyam)

the speed breaker was approaching..
I conveyed my sincere apologies to my pillion pal, "am sorry dude! and maybe this is the best way I can save ur gal friend's life from the hands a of a moron like you(*wink*) "...
he replied like padayappa...
"Even at the feet of death, un nakkalum kindalum un kitendhu korayave ila"

Gaptain stopped his car, getting ready to catch our collars..
ok ! I gotta be doing something...caught the brake in 3 stages, tried to bring all gears down...
my pal went several metres high touched the toll post and came back to his seat (ok I know that was too much...but still...(*grin*)
and..
....We both were standing...and checked our feet(to know if we had become those 1970 filmy demons in white attire without feet singing Mera Saya..)...

and... ya we were alive !!!

A bounti-FULL ;) birthday bash ...

Long back when I saw the flick "V for vendetta" ... I got stuck with a punch line ...

well...
"To remember , the 16th of November "...
n it was yesterday ....
My Tech Guru's Birthday ...

a lunch-on was premeditated at the Green Park...
n all the techies rouse to the occasion sans work pressure...

the moment we entered ... our fingers started to rub...
not tht r bellys started to grub... but r eyez fallin for the nearby pub...

The Gang got seated comfortably... and started going in 10X zoom against the menu card...

"how abt wine ? "
"its only when u dine after nine " was the reply...

oh my ! wat else to gulp...
coz we gotta get back 2 work without ne' help.. ;)

ENVY , a mix of gin,
with r faces in an evil grin...
... n tht was taken ...
Stirred but not shaken ...

With heavy rain beckoning the coast...
..well tht never stopped us makin merry with the toast !

oh !! The brewed barley crossing my sane coast... images of the zidane header flashing..was he possesed by ne' ghost ?
